Clermont Artslink is a small group of volunteers with big plans for arts in the Clermont region.
It’s role is to act as a regional arts hub – to encourage and nurture a variety of arts and ensure locals are exposed to opportunities to increase artistic skill sets.
Often that means bringing the artists to Clermont to run workshops – or by creating opportunities for local artists and makers to showcase their skills, talents and products.
The Wombat Festival does all the above.
The Clermont Gold and Coal Festival is an annual community celebration held the third Fri/Sat of August
Arts in August is a series of arts workshops held in August.
Workshops have included hat embroidery, watercolour painting, mixed media and acrylic painting.
2022 plans include collagraphy printing, watercolours, kokedama and barbed wire art.
The Clermont Community Choir was formed in 2015 and performs at events such as Australia Day, the Clermont Gold and Coal Festival, Anzac Day and Christmas in the Park.
You can visit the Clermont Peace Poles at Pioneer Park adjacent to Hoods Lagoon.
The project was a Clermont Artslink initiative and involved creation of 30 peace poles through a series of school and community workshops.
