ADDITIONAL PLEASE NOTE – OPPORTUNITY TO EXHIBIT – All artwork contributions received prior to 12 APRIL 2026 may also be included in a Wombat Festival exhibition at the Coalface Gallery in Moranbah prior to the festival itself.
The Wombat Festival Art Show is an opportunity for artists and makers to showcase and share their Wombat creations.
A public choice prize of $1000 has been generously sponsored by Stream Services. Cash prizes are also on offer to Secondary and Primary students donated by Michelle Landry Member for Capricornia.
Creations can be in any medium and the 2026 theme is Wombats, Wallabies & Wildlife to also support the endangered and rare Australian species in our surrounding regions.
The art show officially opens as part of the Wombat under the Stars evening on 8 May and will be open to the general public the following market day.
We encourage entries from local artists as well as those outside of the Isaac. There are categories for school age and pre-school ages.
Artists can choose to sell their artworks and set the appropriate reserve.
A commission of 20 percent applies to non-student artworks sold.
Purchased artworks are unable to be collected until payment has cleared and the festival has concluded.

Clermont – BA Hall Clermont – 12 April, 26 April, 5 May2026 – 4-5pm or by arrangement.
Moranbah – 4RFM Radio, 35 St Francis Drive. Mon-Friday until 30 April 2026. 10am-noon. Or by arrangement.
Other regions – Mackay/Whitsundays, Yeppoon, Nebo, Dysart, Middlemount, St Lawrence, Capella/Emerald please email thewombatfestival@gmail.com to arrange collection and/or delivery options.
