The Wombat Festival is a proud supporter of The Wombat Foundation, the only organisation dedicated exclusively to the conservation of the Northern Hairy-Nosed wombat.
At one time, there were only 35 Northern Hairy-nosed wombats left on the planet. Now approximately 315 NHN wombats are in existence.
The aim is to achieve a future where the wombats population grows to a point where they can live sustainably across their former range.
